Last night at work was pretty crappy, but we made the best of it by having a themed night. My friend had announced a few days prior that Sunday night would be 80's night! So we all grabbed or bought as much crap as we could and came into work.
I brought all my leg warmers and giant pink star earrings and a few wigs from cosplay costumes and some other stuff. My outfit ended up being pretty awesome, complete with three sets of leg warmers, giant pink glitter stars on my face, and blue-black mulletish wig. It actually ended up looking pretty fucking awesome. One of the girls took pics with her phone, so I'll post them when I get them off of her.
The music all night was fantastic, except for the few girls who were totally uncool and play contemporary music. I danced to a lot of David Bowie (80s songs only), Pat Benatar, Madonna, and Xanadu. X) It was so nice dancing all night to good music.
Right now I'm putting together ingredients to make my delicious veggie pocket pies. Making a batch for dinner and a couple batches to freeze for my lunches or when I need a quick meal.
They're one of my favorite things to make, because they're easy and turn out so yummy. Usually whatever veggies we have in the house (which, with our household, is a pretty decent selection) and I'll throw in whatever sort of bean or lentil strikes my fancy. I throw together a whole wheat pie crust dough while the veggies are cooking on the stove (I cook it all before it goes into the pies so that I make sure it tastes good). I season with stuff like Veggie Stock (low sodium preferably) chili powder, garam masala, clove powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and sometimes whatever smells good or what fresh herbs we have in the house. Then I roll out the dough, cut big circles, stick in the veggie mix, and fold it over. then I bake em. Fucking delicious. :d And, pretty easy. Maybe about an hour to an hour and a half if you've got your process down, not counting bake time, with is about a half an hour at 350.
Aaaaand the GF just came home and brought this awwwesome Lady Gaga book home with her, guess what I'll be reading tonight? :d
