Still not home, but at least I'm off the boat!

Bolts and I are holed up in New Orleans today, because our flight was canceled due to the storms in Atlanta. :(((( We fly home tomorrow.

At least our hotel has free (and fast!) internet! *A*)/

The cruise, all in all, was fan-fucking-tastic and we (but mostly Bolts) took a fuck-ton of photos~

Bolt's much bigger post is over HERE, and she does better captions than I do.

Bolts and I left the house in the afternoon on the 1st and took a red eye flight to New Orleans, with a layover in Los Angeles.

The seekers are not impressed with the competition.

We got into the city around 7am, and took a taxi over to port. He suggested getting breakfast at Cafe Du Monde and we took him up on it. Delicious hot chocolate and beignets were had.

IT WAS FUCKING COLD.

We boarded the ship, stowed our junk, and explored.

The guys got set up on the window sill.

We also discovered the bar and relaxed for a while there until Bolts' family showed up.

This was way too cute to pass up. X)

Skywarp, when not taken out for photos or day trips, stayed in the glass for the whole rest of the cruise.

The sill was a great place to lounge.

I swear to god, I should just go buy a martini glass to keep him in at home, too.

The ship offered me two of my favorite things: ocean and FOOD. I think I managed about five meals a day, and at least three or four desserts a day. The buffet was open most of the day, but there were still places on the ship you could get food at any hour. Bolts frequently made comments about rolling me off the ship once we got home.

Bolts and I had no shame in taking the robots around the ship with us for silly photo ops.

Our first stop was Costa Maya, Mexico. To go visit some Mayan Ruins. It was soooooo awesome and I was told about a lesbian queen with a harem of women and I am SO gonna look up more on Mayan Culture now.

You know Megatron had to get in on this action.

Second stop was Belize City. Bolts and I didn't have a crazy excursion planned, so we took a tour of the city. It was my first look at a third world country and I'm glad I did it. It was quite sobering. Especially when you compared the whole of the city with the fake and done-up couple of blocks around where the boats docked.

But we snapped a couple cute shots in the tourist corral.

The next day was Roatan! *A*)/ !!!!!!!! It was my favorite stop by farrrrr and I totally want to go back for, like, a week! Tiny tiny island, only 40 miles long by 4 miles wide, and a population of only 30,000 - holy crap! And it was fantastically gorgeous. Bolts and I rented an ATV four-wheeler and we explored half the island. (well, the parts with roads). I drove and Bolts ~~sat in the bitch seat~~ sat behind me and took photos. Eventually, we returned the ATV and took a cab to a beach, got lunch, and hung out/played in the water for a few hours before making it back to the ship.

During our ATVing around, we spotted a big white van with an Autobot logo, which gave us quite a squee, but later on, we spotted this:

The next day, at Cozumel, Mexico, we spent most of the day snorkeling, so we didn't take many photos with Bolts' nice camera. But we did have two underwater disposables, which we'll post once we get the film developed.

Optimus wanted to go, too, but I refused to take him out into waters that got to 100 feet deep. XD

The last day of the cruise was another "day at sea" which meant finally getting to sleep in, and (at least for me) more eating. Bolts and I holed up in one of the lounges mid-ship while she typed on her laptop and I worked on Standing Ground designs. (I have so much stuff to scan, wheee~~~). Since we were set up next to an area with a lot of foot traffic, we got a lot of commentary in passing about our toys or our work. The guy working the bar loved our toys and was very excited to see Starscream, who he said was his favorite and he spun around with the toy making "pew pew pew" noises. He then invited them all to the bar where he said he had oil for them to drink. XD <3

This morning, the ship docked, and Bolts and I discovered ourselves stranded in New Orleans for the night. Our flight had been canceled due to storms in Atlanta, so we snagged a hotel next to the French Quarter and dropped off our bags. We then walked over to Cafe Du Monde to have breakfast there again. So. Fucking. Yummy.
